Played in England since the 18th century, Rounders is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams that alternate batting and fielding. The roots of early baseball, Rounders uses a hard leather wrapped ball and a round wooden bat. Points or "rounders" are scored by the batting team when a player makes it around all four bases without being "out." Unlike anything we've ever seen is this 19th century Rounders bat. Expertly crafted, this bat is made of two pieces of wood with contrasting grains and features a tightly wrapped small diameter cotton cord handle. 17.750" overall length, this bat shows plenty of use with dings, marks, chips and dark coloring on the barrel.
