Important piece of American folk art is the only true trade sign baseball bat we have seen in our 40+ years in the hobby. Measuring an incredible 56” in length this handprinted masterpiece even has the original mounting hooks where it hung in a period establishment. From the quality and craftsmanship, we would not be surprised it were one of the early and important New England sporting goods manufacturer. From the New England area, this piece is fresh to the hobby and magnificent. Many others have tried to pass off simple “oversized” bats as trade signs. None were right. This is perfect. It is all original paint, the size is perfect, the mounting hooks are vintage, the quality is amazing, hand carved and handprinted by a top New England carver. It simply has everything going for it. Worthy of a top American folk art collection baseball or otherwise. The finest piece of baseball folk art we have offered.
