Stunning original vesta case (match safe) is fully hallmarked from Birmingham (UK) dating it to 1905 by Henry Matthews. Base case dates a few years earlier than its actual manufacturer which is probably circa 1908, the year he won the championship in Sydney from Tommy Burns. You would NEVER see such a piece manufactured in America yet yes in the more enlightened UK. Appx 13.9g of silver and measures 4.3x3x1 cm.
