Hall of Fame sportswriter Bob Broeg used these upper deck seats as a 16-year-old boy. His "1934" is written in ink. He had much better seats later on in life.

Really MEMORABLE game for TWO reasons: 1) The Series featured the famed St. Louis "Gashouse Gang", and winning the '34 Series gave the Cards three championships in eight years. The Series was filled with Hall of Famers: St. Louis - Dizzy Dean, Leo Durocher, Jesse Helms, Dazzy Vance, and Frankie Frisch. Detroit - Cochrane, Gehringer, Goslin, and Greenburg. 2) The game itself, a 10-4 Tiger win, featured two noteworthy incidents: It was the first World Series game in which "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" was played, and Dizzy Dean, as a pinch runner, was hit on the head by an errant throw, resulting in a possibly apocryphal newspaper headline which read, "X-Rays of Dean's Head Reveal Nothing".
