While 52 wins represented a slip for the team, it was unmatched in the Wales conference and the Canadiens captured the regular season conference title for the fourth consecutive year. The NHL presented this personal miniature to Habs’ bench man Eddy Palchak for his part in this memorable season. Four towering sticks rise from the wood base to support a silver plate cup with attached lid. A plaque on one side of the base reads “HRH Prince of Wales Trophy – Edward Palchak”. The opposing side is inscribed “NHL Champions – Montreal Canadiens – 1978-79”. In excellent condition. Included is a Letter of Authenticity signed by Mr. Palchak.
