Cleveland Buckeyes jersey worn by storied Negro Leaguer Quincy Trouppe at 1992 Shea Stadium event honoring the Negro Leagues. Obtained directly from Trouppe, it is signed, "Quincy Trouppe, Worn 6-2-1992". This was the game where 1992 Eclipse Negro League baseball card sets were given out to fans as a promotion. Highest quality Ebbets Field Flannels wool jersey sports his #30 with "1945 World Series Champions" patch on the left sleeve. This jersey was obtained directly from Quincy Trouppe. Quincy Trouppe is one of the more interesting players in Negro League history. Playing on a myriad of teams (Chicago American Giants, Homestead Grays, KC Monarchs) in more than one country (US, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Canada), he was an eight-time All-Star. One of the oldest major league rookies for the Cleveland Indians, when Sam Jones entered the game he was catching they became the first black battery in American League history.
