Billy Evans hand signed letter to MLB Ralph Winegarner of the Cleveland Indians dated January 16, 1933. In the letter Evans uses the excuse of the Great Depression for lowering expenses, cutting players and lowering salaries. He says, "I am sure you are familiar with the desperate financial condition that exists in every business, baseball being no exception." He goes on to make Winegarner an offer for the '33 season and hopes that it is not seen as "unfair". The letter is in NR-MT condition on gorgeous Cleveland Indians stationary with a wonderful signature in green ink. Comes certified by PSA and signature has been graded a perfect 10/10!
