Though Spud Chandler's baseball career wasn't terribly long, it was punctuated by a few incredible years. The talented right-hander played all 11 seasons with the New York Yankees, winning an AL MVP Award and three World Series with the team. The Yanks also won the World Series the year this glove was game used by Chandler in 1938, but he did not appear in the postseason. The glove was given to a barber at a prominent NYC hotel where Chandler and other Yankees stayed and was given directly by Chandler to the barber, who then passed it down to the barber's son. Fine condition and shows nice use with buckle on back of wrist strap. Denkert fielder's glove has "SC" for Spud Chandler below the logo on the palm. Also written on the thumb in faded letters is "C 21" for Chandler and his uniform number 21.
