Straight from one of the most loved and sought after sets in the hobby is only the second card from the career of the greatest center fielder perhaps of all time, Willie Mays. Mays was brought up to the Giants after tearing up minor league pitching the first part of the '51 season. He went on to win the NL ROY award and of course played a role in the great playoff chase between the two New York teams. Offered here is a true showpiece. This '52 Topps Mays is graded VG-EX+ 4.5 by PSA for its deep, rich coloring, smooth surfaces and much better than average centering. This is one of the bluest of all blue-chip cards from the 1950s.
