Here is a wonderful JFK collection compiled by Dallas Police Captain, George Max Doughty. He initially joined the DPD in 1941, recalled to active duty by the Army in 1961 to serve in the Counter-Intelligence Unit in Berlin, Germany, during the Berlin Wall Crisis. He eventually became a key member of the Criminal Identification division at the time of the Kennedy Assassination and later was instrumental in the development of the Dallas Police Tactical Division. This is a rather large collection containing numerous items commemorating Captain Doughty's career and the President Kennedy assassination. Multiple newspapers from Dallas, with most sections highlighting the JFK assassination and the following days. The highlight being the November 25 edition of the Dallas Morning News depicting the famous photo of Jack Ruby and Lee Harvey Oswald. The plaque presented by EM Herold Motor Co, 1961 before the assassination, perhaps when he was transitioning back to the Army. Honorable Discharge from the US Navy 1946. Dallas Police blank card.
