Fresh to the PSA Registry comes this high grade PSA graded complete set of 1939 Play Ball. With a weighted GPA of 6.69, this set is currently #8 on PSA Registry. There are also ten cards with a population under 10. A breakdown on total number of cards, per grade, is shown here including the better cards: PSA 8 (28): DiMaggio (oc), Dickey, West, Ferrell, Klein, Waner, Manush, Moore, May. PSA 7 (84): Ted Williams, Greenberg, Ott, Hubbell, Averill, #22 Walters both versions. PSA 6 (42): Durocher, Powell, Berg, May Upper & Lowercase. PSA 5 (7). This set has been put together from one of the originating set collectors in the hobby, who submitted these cards himself 15+ years ago. This set, along with a number of other high grade complete sets in this auction, has been hidden for 15+ years and is being offered to the public for the first time. Many cases are from the early days of PSA grading, so there may be possibilities for upgrades. Another interesting fact is that when the PSA numbers were entered into the database, none of the cards were registered to previous owners except for eight that were filled in by Leland's.
