Reading the back of this card just takes the reader away to another place and time. With gems like "Most picturesque player in baseball" and "Should sizzle into his old stride this year" you just can't help but want to go to see him pitch! This is one of the hobby's greatest cards, desired by nearly every collector in the hobby and revered by all. The first card of the ultimate baseball showman, ol' Satch, who wowed crowds for over 20 years with his blinding fastball before working in some slower stuff later in the ride. This is a beautiful PSA NM 7 short print example, with better than average focus for the issue, nice red, yellow and blue color and a perfectly printed reverse. Of the 157 examples graded by PSA to date, only five have been graded higher and this is the most valuable card of Paige's career. The centering is somewhat to the left and bottom. A phenomenally important baseball card that is absolutely one card that must be owned by any self-respecting vintage collector!
