First we have seen of this item, the cover includes a classic image of a young, svelte Ruth with the Boston Red Sox. The four-page program measures 6x9.5", and asks for funds for replacing buildings destroyed in a 1919 fire. The Bambino was educated at St. Mary's Industrial school and lent his name to what was then a monumental $2 million dollar fundraising campaign. It shows some wear and has been folded but displays beautifully nonetheless. Handwriting on cover is in unknown hand, perhaps by a St. Mary's student.
