Copies of three (3) contracts: 1) 1985. 2) 1986-88 player/manager. 3) 1989-90 manager. Consignor met Rose recently and had him sign all three. There are handwritten notes on these copies. The 1989-90 contract has "Final copy sent to RK 10/27" (RK is Reuven Katz, who was Rose's attorney). 1986-88 contract has copy of a letter addressed to Rose referencing rule regulations. Additional documents include carbon copy of a letter to Katz asking Pete Rose to sign two contracts, a letter from Cincinnati Reds attorney Robert C. Martin to Katz regarding a contract addendum, letter from Martin to VP of the Reds Murray Cook, carbon copy of letter to Katz with handwritten "File Pete Rose Contract File" on top, and signed letter by Mrs. Fred Hutchinson to Charley Segar. Also includes four pages of handwritten notes regarding Pete's contract terms and negotiations. Two names on almost everything are Martin and Katz. On one page, it says "Spoke w/Katz," so these cannot be from Katz himself. All contents were in a safety deposit box likely belonging to Martin in Cincinnati, OH, but the box went unpaid for three years, and our consignor purchased it.
