A beautiful combination of elements converge in this hand-drawn portrait by a fan, who sent it to Lou Gehrig. There is a note on the verso written by our consignor's father asking Gehrig for his autograph, and the pinstripe legend complied with a gorgeous black ink signature beneath the detailed image, inscribed "With Kindest Regards." Measures 6x9", with two minuscule tears on right edge and pinhole atop, trifold from being sent in an envelope, and some toning from age - all of which combine to add personality to this unique portrait, dated "8/16/34." Comes certified by PSA and they graded the signature a perfect 10!
