From one of the most exciting and anticipated hockey series of the era, the Summit series pitted a favored Canadian team against an increasingly dominating Soviet team. Canada won in dramatic fashion in the final game of the 8-game series. The front of the coin shows battling hockey players and the reverse shows crossed Canadian and Soviet flags. The 2” coin is made of sterling silver and these were handed out directly to participants and those related to the game. Comes in original blue presentation box stamped in gold, "Canada-USSR" and "Hockey Canada 1972." This is a rare find.
