In the highly coveted "Batman" style that pays tribute to the City's Golden Triangle downtown area, this jersey was game worn by Bruce Van Dyke in 1967 with the Steelers - his first year on the team. Van Dyke was drafted by the Eagles in '66 but was promptly traded to the Steelers the following year, where he would find a more permanent home. Van Dyke spent seven years in Pittsburgh, and his time in the Steel City was memorable enough to earn him a spot on the Steelers Legends team in 2007. He was also named to the Pro Bowl in '73. This rare, black jersey shows heavy use with pilling, abrasions, loose threads and heavy staining on the numbers. There are Rawlings, Pittsburgh Sport Shop, and wash tags inside the tail. The jersey has undergone five team repairs, and there is also a crotch piece with original buttons. All jerseys come directly from the Steelers archive and come with an LOA from the Steelers. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of Steelers Archives items will be donated to the Chuck Noll Foundation for Brain Injury Research.
