Playing both tight end and offensive tackle, Larry Brown became one of the 22 players to play in all of the first four Steelers Super Bowl victories. This jersey was game worn by Brown near the end of his run with the team in 1981. Brown spent 14 years in the NFL, all of which came in Pittsburgh, and was selected to the Pro Bowl in 1982. He would also go to be named as part of the Steelers All-Time Team in 2007. The white, road jersey has custom sewn shoulders, and its back nameplate is faded due to wear. There is a "81" year tag, Pittsburgh Steelers tag, and Sand-Knit size 48 tag on the tail. The jersey also shows heavy use on the numbers, as well as scuffs, loose threads, and three team repairs. All jerseys come directly from the Steelers archive and come with an LOA from the Steelers. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of Steelers Archives items will be donated to the Chuck Noll Foundation for Brain Injury Research.
