Fascinating content on this two part lot involving Max Carey's second year salary.  The first letter, typed on beautiful, Brooklyn National League Baseball Club letterhead, is from Frank York to Dutch Carter is a response to a request by Carey of a raise for the 1933 season.  In it, York expresses his wish that the talks be postponed.  The second letter is an onion-skin, partial copy of the original letter to York addressing Carey's desire for an increase in salary.  On the copy in red ink is Dutch's handwritten comment to Carey regarding York's allusive response to the request.  Lot comes from the Max Carey estate. Comes with PSA Letter of Authenticity.
