This 1928 Cincinnati Reds pass was presented to Ernest Barnard, who was a short-lived president of the American League in the late 1920s and early '30s. Barnard came up through the Cleveland Indians organization before assuming the role of AL president in 1927. He died just four years later, right before he was scheduled to have an examination at the Mayo Clinic. Barnard's name is written on the pass, permitting him access to "Redland Field" for the duration of the 1928 season. The pass measures 2.5x4.25" and is in EX condition.
