Quite simply the finest known collection of Kentucky Derby tickets in existence, with tickets to 76 of the 143 Kentucky Derbies (72 of them being full tickets). The set is #1 on the PSA Registry (17.36 GPA with bonuses) and features full tickets from eight Triple Crown years, including 1935 (Omaha), 1941 (Whirlaway), 1946 (Assault), 1948 (Citation), 1973 (Secretariat), 1977 (Seattle Slew), 1978 (Affirmed) and 2015 (American Pharoah). The "Run for the Roses" is one of the proudest traditions in all of sports. It was first held in 1875 and has been run every year since, unlike its Triple Crown counterparts the Preakness and the Belmont, which have both taken brief hiatuses. American Pharoah is the most recent Derby winner to go on to win the Triple Crown, having accomplished the feat in 2015 after a 37-year drought. The full breakdown of years is as follows: 1924 (stub), 1925 (stub), 1932, 1935, 1938, 1940, 1941, 1942 (stub), 1945-51, 1954, 1955, 1957, 1960-2017 ('65 stub). The set is comprised of (42) POP 1s, three (3) PSA 10s, two (2) PSA 9s, (11) PSA 8s, (11) PSA 7s, (18) PSA 6s, and the rest are under 6. The 2000 ticket (PSA AUTO 9) is signed by jockey Kent Desormeaux, who won that year's edition of the Derby aboard Fusaichi Pegasus. The 1980 ticket (PSA AUTO 10) is signed by jockey Jacinto Vasquez, who piloted filly Genuine Risk home to victory that year. This is an unparalleled collection of memorabilia from one of sport's most recognizable and prestigious events.
