A fantastic GPC written and signed by baseball legend Honus Wagner to former teammate Fred Clarke. Initially dispatched by the Louisville Colonels to scout Wagner while he was with the Paterson Silk Sox, Clarke and team owner Barney Dreyfuss weren't impressed by Wagner but at the insistence of club secretary Harry Pulliam, Wagner ultimately joined the Colonels and it proved to be a good decision, to put it mildly. In the letter, Wagner calls Clarke "cap" and expresses his disappointment that he will be unable to attend Clarke and his wife's gold wedding anniversary. Another interesting note is that he says Pirates owner, Dreyfuss, "did not want me to marry." PSA NM 7.
