With only two regular season home runs to his name, it's amazing that Tom Lawless is etched in baseball lore for hitting a round-tripper. Lawless' famous home run came in Game 4 of the 1987 World Series between the St. Louis Cardinals and Minnesota Twins, and was the catalyst to the Cardinals rout of the Twins that night. Hit off Frank Viola in the fourth inning, Lawless stalked down the first base line after hitting the ball, perhaps in disbelief that he had made such good contact, then halfway down the line proceeded to commit the infamous "bat flip" for which the home run is known. This tremendous combo is the bat Lawless used to smack the home run, as well as the ball he hit. The bat and ball have both been signed by Lawless and inscribed with details of the home run.
