You can almost picture the sweet swing of Ken Griffey, Jr. when you behold this gorgeous black "Swingman" bat used by Griffey between 2001 and 2007 with the Cincinnati Reds. The Hillerich & Bradsy model C271 bat is uncracked and shows outstanding use, with many ball marks and stitch impressions on the barrel that include blue ink transfers and white leather scuffs. There is also a light coat of pine tar on the handle and a criss-crossed, trademark Griffey tape job on the lower handle. Griffey joined the Reds in 2000 and was plagued by injuries during his time in Cincinnati, though he was still able to put together some productive seasons that helped him on his way to 630 career home runs. Perhaps more than the numbers, Griffey is remembered for his impeccable swing from the left side of the plate, which captured the imagination of fans with its fluid, elegant motion. In 2016, Griffey was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame with a record 99.32% of the vote. The bat measures 33.75" and weighs 31.8 oz. It comes with a PSA GU 10 LOA.
