Offered is a very rare 1913 Cravats Felt Pennant of New York Giants Hall of Famer Christy Mathewson. One of only a few known to exist, the 4.125x9" pennant features an image of Mathewson in white applique, with his last name and team name printed underneath. Above the image is a bat and baseball, with "Cravats" printed inside the ball, with a metal ring hole punched near the top, directly above the baseball, used to hang the pennant. Little is known about the set, the manufacturer or even how many players were issued. Authenticated and encapsulated by SGC as AUTHENTIC, the pennant presents as EX to EX/MT with light corner issues, and most of the original white applique still intact. This is an unbelievably rare Mathewson item perfect for the best Mathewson, Hall of Fame or type collector.
