Game-worn jersey belonging to Sammy Sosa from a July 2, 2003, tilt against the Philadelphia Phillies. Though at the time Sosa's career was winding down somewhat, the celebrated masher was still a proficient home-run hitter, which he did that night in the top of the ninth inning. The blast proved to be the game's only run, and the Cubs won 1-0. The blue road jersey has been signed on the back and inscribed "Game Used, 2003 HR 510, July 2 Game Winner." There is a Majestic size 48 tag on the front tail and a "21, 48, 03, S3" tag in the neck. It has a National League patch on the right sleeve, a captain's "C" patch on the left, and comes with a Sosa hologram. Despite retirement looming on the horizon, Sosa finished the year with 40 home runs - his last year reaching that plateau - and drove in more than 100 runs. Includes PSA LOA.
