Offered is a high grade 1956 Topps baseball set, teeming with sharp corners, deep beautiful color, crisp focus and an overall very nice eye appeal. Many of the EX and EX/MT cards are sharp cornered beauties, with off-centering their only flaw, but with many of the other high grade qualities listed above. A dozen or so cards have corner creasing, likely due to the older 8-pocket plastic sheets in which they were originally housed. Our consignor purchased this set "back in the day," and it has remained hidden from the market for the last several decades. The Mickey Mantle example appears nice at first glance, but has a couple of scrapes on the front and a mild vertical crease to the left of Mantle's main image.
