This beautiful set of three trunks and a robe straddle a turning point in the life of boxer Muhammad Ali. Long before there was Ali, there was Cassius Clay, who grew up in Louisville, KY and started boxing at the tender age of 12. Clay was an Olympic gold medal winner and won the WBA and WBC Heavyweight titles in 1964 before converting to Islam and changing his name to Muhammad Ali. One pair of trunks has been signed by Clay in a more conservative style, however Ali's flamboyance and braggadocio is on full display on the two trunks he signed, both inscribed with the phrase "greatest of all time" and one with a giant, foot-long signature. The robe was also signed by Ali with the same familiar boast. The set are all made by Everlast and are white with black accents. Two are certified by Steiner, while the other two are certified by Online Authentics.
