From one of the most iconic scenes in movie history, this jersey and cap was worn by the pitcher from the climactic "Final Home Run" scene in The Natural. Based on the book of the same name, The Natural follows the life of Roy Hobbs, a gifted baseball player whose promising career is derailed when he's shot by an unstable woman. The home run scene is the emotional climax of the movie, with a middle-aged and ailing Hobbs smashing a titanic blast into the lights, then trotting around the bases as sparks rain down on the field. The jersey has "44" and "Rehbaum" handwritten in the neck along with an Empire tag and a "Western Costume, Hollywood Cali." label in the front tail. "Pittsburgh" appears in red across the front of it, with the number "29" on the back and a 1939 Centennial patch on the left sleeve. The pitcher, John Rhoades, was played by Christopher B. Rehbaum. The outfit has been photo-matched.
