This name tag was worn by Roberto Clemente at a 1968 banquet attended by Pittsburgh Pirates players and is written on in Clemente's own hand in 8/10 blue marker. The simple, white and blue stick-on tag measures 2.25x3.25" and reads "R. Clemente Pirates." It comes with a letter stating that the tag was received from Clemente's cousin, who was an employee at the club the banquet was held. The year was a rough one by Clemente's standards, as it was the only year in the 1960s he did not make the All-Star team and only year after 1959 he failed to hit above .300.
