Pete Rose's checkered career began auspiciously in 1963 with the Cincinnati Reds. He earned the moniker "Charlie Hustle" in the spring of that year and promptly went on to win NL Rookie of the Year, playing in 157 games and batting .273. This award was given to Rose in '63 by the Greater Cincinnati Amateur Baseball Fund, a charitable organization that donated equipment and funds to area baseball and softball teams, and comes from Rose's personal collection. The wood plaque features a red glove in its center with the inscription "1963 Kid Glove Award." It is in EX-MT condition and comes with an LOA.
