Four-time Pro Bowler Paul "Tank" Younger was the first player in the NFL from a historically black college or university. Younger earned his nickname while at Grambling State, where he excelled with imposing physicality as both a fullback and linebacker, and his exploits there earned him a place in the College Football Hall of Fame in 2000. This beautiful game-worn jersey of Younger's comes from the early 1950s, during his time with the Los Angeles Rams. It is all original with a plain yellow-on-blue scheme and shows moderate use. The number "35" is sewn on the front and back in blue, with few other distinguishing characteristics. The jersey is signed by Younger on the front and back in 8/10 black marker. Sand Knit size 50 and Fredricks and Co. tags can be found sewn on the front tail. This very rare jersey features a simple yet elegant design, and is a fitting tribute to one of the great unsung heroes of professional football.
