This stunning period piece dates to 1893, depicting a child "mascot" holding a football while dressed in Union attire. In its original ornate frame, this work remains of incredible quality despite some foxing to the mount, which can be cleaned. The 16x19" piece is from the year of 1893 when the World's Fair opened in Chicago and the New York Stock Exchange crashed, causing a depression known as the "Panic of 1893."
