Simply spectacular and amazingly clean, this is the only rookie bat of Joe DiMaggio that we have ever handled. Uncracked with light but definite use, it measures 36 inches and 37.6 ounces and the labeling period is from the Yankee Clipper's rookie year of 1936. It comes with PSA letter (graded 8) and also a letter from the original owner, whose favorite player was Joe DiMaggio and he was gifted the bat by Joe's teammate, Stuffy Stirnweiss. This model, combined with the labeling of the bat definitively date it to the season in which Joltin' Joe crashed 29 homers with 125 RBI and a league-leading 15 triples while batting an impressive .323. All of those numbers would hold up closely to the averages he compiled over his 13-year Hall of Fame career in Pinstripes.
