Dating from 1932, this "A Game of Golf" hardcover book is inscribed by Francis Ouimet - often referred to as the "Father of Amateur Golf" in the US - to Joe Cronin. Signed in blue ballpoint pen, "To Joe Cronin, A great fellow and a great partner, Francis Ouimet," it contains a beautiful 9/10 signature. Ouimet joined Charles River in 1921, and was awarded an honorary membership in 1929. While there, he joined friends, among them Baseball Hall of Famer Cronin, for a regular weekly game of golf at Charles River throughout his life.
