Millions of Americans in the 1950s enjoyed Howdy Doody Time by watching Buffalo Bob Smith wear this very yellow, red and white costume. The colors are significant in that color television was just gaining hold, and NBC used this show to help sell the new product. Worn on the Howdy Doody Show, public appearances, Rose Bowl Parade, and also in Happy Days Season 2, Episode 17 (2/18/75), this bight yellow suit with red tassels throughout was made by Lee Carol in Miami, FL, with tag in neck. It comes with a red belt that has 1950s coins and Buffalo silver emblems sewn on - you will see in photos that there appears to be a silver emblem on the belt. On this belt you can see the circle where it was removed, including stitch remnants. Originally sold by Buffalo Bob Smith himself, this is a magnificent keepsake from the original Golden Age of Television and one of its most recognizable stars.
