1920 was a memorable season of highs and lows for the Cleveland Indians, whose shortstop, Ray Chapman, was killed by a batted ball during the season, and which culminated with a World Series championship over Brooklyn. Contained in this lot are some terrific game action shots featuring Tribe players including Hall of Famer Tris Speaker, crowds in line before games, an awards ceremony and more. All are type I originals and measure 3.5x5". Overall conditions are near Excellent, some having small pencil marks on the backs. There are some exceptional, never-before-seen images here, all from League Park in Cleveland.
