From the first of his 22 NHL seasons, right-winger Mark Recchi wore this white Penguins jersey as a rookie in 1989-90, one year before he won the first of his three Stanley Cups as a player. The gold-toe style jersey features an All-Star patch on the right sleeve and 26 team repairs, mostly on the sleeves. The "sweater" shows heavy use as evidenced by the slash marks, loose stitching and some tears in the sleeves. There is a fight strap and size tag in the neck with a handwritten "8." Recchi now successfully serves as director of player development for the Pens, who this year became the first team since the 1998 Detroit Red Wings to capture consecutive Stanley Cup championships.
