The 1936 Olympics were held in Berlin by strong desire of Hitler, who wanted very much to show the world that Germany was once again a leading economic power. He made efforts to seem racially tolerant for the duration of these events although it was clear that it was just for show. Heavy bronzed bell from the 1936 games of the XI Olympiad. Stunning commemorative bell with German Eagle over Olympic Rings, Brandenburger Tor, Berlin legend and dates. Diameter, 97mm. Height 5".
