All of these shots are by Mr. Marv Axelrod, who was the official photographer for 1960s-70s Cleveland sports teams including the Cavaliers and Indians. Completely unpicked archive of over 16,000+ basketball transparencies/negatives taken at Cavaliers games in the 1970s. Over half of the original NBA 50 greatest are here in force: Wilt Chamberlain (60+), Pete Maravich on Hawks & Jazz (20+), Abdul-Jabbar on Bucks & Lakers (100+), Bill Russell as Sonics coach (20), Oscar Robertson, Julius Erving, early Bill Walton, Rick Barry, Walt Frazier, George Gervin, Jerry West, Jerry Lucas, Earl Monroe, Dave Bing, Dave DeBusschere, James Worthy, Baylor, Greer, Havlicek, Hayes, Unseld, Thurmond, Malone, Reed, Wilkens with several of each. There are even 20+ Harlem Globetrotters with Meadowlark Lemon and Curly Neal. Up close and personal look at the early NBA & ABA merger days with crystal clear imagery. Collection includes 2300+ 2.25" full color transparencies containing all of the iconic names mentioned above (300+ of are official head shots that Marv took for the Cavs), 13,000+ images on are 35mm format in both b/w and color. Quality is just about as good as it gets.
