Finest piece from the famed 1980s find of original Walt Disney Bread cards and advertising posters & materials. This was the largest poster and the rarest of all. There were only three of these in the find and this one has never been brought to the market before. Consigned by Maxine Evans, the mother of Leland's Founder Josh Evans, and hung on her wall for many years (time to move on!). Spectacular fall color of Mickey Mouse enticing you to "Buy This Bread." At bottom right is card from this debar bread card set which is essentially promoting the cards and the first of the many of the Walt Disney bread campaigns from this one in the mid-1930s to the 1960s. Walt Disney would provide the wrappers and the advertising campaigns (like this one) and local bakers could wrap their homemade bread in a Mickey Mouse wrapper. Mounted on linen and has a few touchups. 30x23". The graphics on this piece are incredible. It is considered to be in the genre of 1930s Mickey Mouse movie posters, some of which are selling for six figures. Of the three posters discovered in the find, one was rumored to have been sold to George Lucas of Star Wars renown.
