This red Takamine acoustic came directly from an original member of Bruce's E Street crew. Spectacular instrument was used on stage during the 1984 Born In The USA World Tour, an important tour as it was the one that took Bruce to the next level. Grossing nearly $100 million, attendance was a staggering 3.9 million. Specifically, this guitar was used in the performances of the songs Used Cars and Mansion on the Hill from the critically acclaimed Nebraska album (1982) for which he did not tour, so they were added to the Born In The USA tour. The guitar is in excellent condition with heavy use yet perfectly preserved and carefully stored after being gifted by Bruce to this crew member in 1986. It has never been used by anyone else but Bruce Springsteen. Comes with its original Takamine case, and it even comes with the original capo used during the tour in the performance of at least these two songs. Guitar is model 381 with serial number 83071957. Interestingly, this guitar has a "1957" as in '57 Chevy right in the serial #. Obtained from a key member of Bruce's team with his detailed Letter of Authenticity. This trusted associate goes all the way back to 1973 when Bruce signed his first contract with Columbia Records.
