Willie Mays continued his dominance of National League pitching during the 1961 season, walloping 40 homers and plating over 120 runners. It was a typical Mays year, one which saw him high up in the MVP voting again. As usual, Mays was early on in the Topps baseball card set, giving way to lots of potential wear from enthusiastic youngsters wanting his pasteboard.
