Not just baseball stars but celebrities of all walks visited Mike Shannon's legendary St. Louis restaurant, and this lot of over 12 dozen baseballs was signed by several legends. All were obtained in person by Shannon and there are some duplicates but most are different, while some of those that are duplicated include the likes of Mays and Musial. The balls are all Official Major League or National League with some special event balls sprinkled in like All-Star games and opening days, average EX-MT and signatures average 8/10, some with special notations. Among those that are here: Schmidt, Roberts, Torre, Brock, Yount, McGwire, Pujols, Seaver, Gibson, Mays, Slaughter, Kaline, Bagwell, Gossage, Musial, Berra, Bench, Cepeda, Marichal, McGwire, Shannon, Schoendienst, McCarver, Gwynn, Kiner, B. Robinson, Lasorda, Harwell, Caray, Santo, Molitor, O'Neil, R. Jackson, B. Williams and many more Hall of Famers, and of course, many St. Louis star players. Non-baseball celebrities include Meat Loaf, Hulk Hogan, Bob Costas, Jackie Kersee and Dick Butkus.
