Straight from the clubhouse and into your collection, these Major League bats and pants were the personal property of former big-league catcher Hal R. Smith. The three pairs of pants are as follows: 1) gray roads with red, white and black piping, Rawlings Size 40 tagging in the waistband and red chain-stitched: "H. SMITH 40 25 85 1" and two white homes - one from Jim Kaat with red, white and black piping, Rawlings Size 36 tagging in the front waistband, "KAAT" in black marker and red chain-stitched "7 37/38 25 80 1." The other belongs to Red Schoendienst with red, white and black piping, Rawlings Size 38 tagging in the waistband and red chain-stitched: "SCHOENDIENST 73 39/38 24." All show nice use. The bats break down this way: 36" George Kissel Comet Bat Co. fungo style, 34" Tim McCarver Hillerich & Bradsby with heavy taping, 33.5" Ted Simmons Hillerich & Bradsby with lots of taping on the handle, and one 35.5" Hillerich & Bradsby with no player notation, just "St. Louis," which indicates it was a pitcher's stick. All show good use. From the family of Hal Smith.
