The mate to this amazing sign was offered in our Spring 2016 auction and brought $6,500. When Sportsman's Park closed, this sign was taken down along with the other. From the last game in this historic venue, this hand-painted stadium sign occupies a true place in Cardinals history as it was hung until that game on May 8th, 1966. Fans were allowed to take anything they wanted and this was taken by our vendor. The sign comes with an incredible notarized letter of authenticity from the man who took it out of there! The sign is 36x24" and and artist-signed by Ollie Kempf, who obviously took the greatest pride in his work. Made of heavy particle board, there was some damage incurred when it was removed from the wall as there is a chip at bottom left and hole at top center where it was anchored to the wall. One of the great stadium signs you will see and a perfect representation of the true artistry of commercial stadium art.
