This beautiful original photo is from the early 1920s (1921 to be exact) and was also signed around that time. Babe Ruth is pictured taking a swing at Wrigley Field in California while on a barnstorming tour at the end of the 1921 season in this photo by George Watson, who was also one of the first photographers of the stars in Hollywood. It was stamped on the back at a later date by Delmar Watson, George's son, from whom this was obtained, and it also has a paper caption on the back simply stamped "Babe Ruth." Measuring 4x5", it is in EX-MT condition and is signed on the front in 7/10 black fountain ink "Babe Ruth" with "Babe" in quotes. A beautiful, early Ruth item, it is very rare to find a signed photo of the Bambino from this period that is not personalized. Graded 8 autograph, comes with PSA/DNA LOA.
