Since Joe DiMaggio made history with his 56-game hitting streak in 1941, only one Major Leaguer has even come within 15 of that vaunted record. All-time hit king Pete Rose recorded an amazing 44-game streak in 1978 that still stands as the National League standard. From that summer come these four full, unused tickets from the July 31 game vs. the Braves in Atlanta that represented the 44th and final game of the streak. Each has been graded PSA NM-MT 8. Rose took an 0-for-4 collar vs. the Braves the next night in a 16-4 loss before going 4-for-5 a day later.
