It's not hard to imagine how this 1970s Cincinnati Reds batting helmet may have been damaged, after all, how many photos exist of this very helmet or one like it flying off the head of all-time hits champion Pete Rose? Indeed, Charlie Hustle himself signed the bill of this lid (size tag removed), that has a leather band for padding. A "ROSE" nameplate is on the back and his number 14 is under the bill in black marker, and a sizeable v-shaped break at the back edge has been repaired. The helmet shows nice use and displays excellently.
