The date was June 19, 1952, when Carl Erskine ascended the mound at Ebbets Field, and left less than two hours later with his first career no-hitter. This 1.25x3.5" stub is from that affair, which saw Roy Campinella homer to spark a 5-0 Dodgers win. This stub is the only one from that game encapsulated by PSA as Authentic. There is no grade on it but it displays beautifully, a great keepsake from one of Brooklyn's finest hours. Erskine allowed just one batter to reach base in that near-perfect game - a walk to Cubs' reliever Willie Ramsdell.
